Although Snapz has the option to capture a startup screen (Why? It's supposed to be in your system folder!) and works while games run, I'm a little disappointed by the features offered by Snapz. Having the opportunity to capture game screens and pulldown menus is indeed handy, but if you can live without those features there's a cheaper option to capture screens: PICTify, a freeware screen capturing device by Scott Johnson that lets you select any sized rectangular area on a screen, which is very useful on large monitors. You can choose out of 'only' four invoking keys: command, shift, option or control, or any combination you prefer.
But there's a downside: you can only capture images when the mouse pointer is enabled and there are only two options to save an image: as a TeachText-file or a ResEdit-resource. But hey, it's for free! I have enclosed a copy of PICTify on this disk, so you can review it yourself.

Thanks for PICTify. Sure it's good, but I still find that Snapz can grab screens that no other capture program can. I usually use the commercial program called Capture, but Snapz was the only thing that could grab Marathon. Derek Smith.
